Throughout the years we have come to the conclusion that Thailand has many enthusiastic Zippo fans. Zippo Manufacturer. 

Zippo is a Company that became great because of its people or in other words its family. From the founder George G. Blaisdell, to the employees, customers and collectors, they all played a vital role in the company’s success. Their loyalty and dedication made Zippo one of the most recognizable icons in the world.

Features. 

When it first started in 1933 Mr. Blaisdell sold it’s first pocket lighters for $1,95. Each of the Zippo’s was backed with the now famous unconditional lifetime guarantee. ‘It works or we fix it for free’. Mr. Blaisdell could do this because Zippo lighters are made of such a high quality, they expect to endure a lifetime. An average Zippo outlives a normal lighter 239 times, in this aspect Zippo had distinguished itself from its competitors. Beside the outstanding quality and the lifetime guarantee Mr Blaisdell also made the lighter windproof. Therefore, customers could easily use the lighters outside or in other harsh conditions.

Date-codes.

Starting in de mid 50’s Zippo began stamping date codes on the bottom of every lighter for quality control purposes, enabling the company to identify a potential pattern in any run of lighters that were returned for repair. The date codes have since served as helpful resource for collectors, allowing them to accurately date the year their Zippo was manufactured.                                                    

Marketing.

Over the years Zippo has made quite a name for itself. The Zippo lighter became a pop culture phenomenon, appearing in over 2000 films, shows and series. Multimillion-dollar blockbusters such as Die Hard and Indiana Jones used the Zippo as a reliable prop to light the way. But Zippo’s were not only seen on the silver screen, Zippo lighters and other products in the Zippo family have been spotted/named in countless albums, songs and even on tattoos. Just as famous as the Zippo itself is the distinctive click sound each windproof lighter emits when opened. The click is arguably one of the most recognizable sounds ever created. 

Today.

Zippo continues to remain popular worldwide, with the focus on selling the brand rather than just the lighter. Along with their ability to adapt to the changing times, Zippo’s dedication to quality is almost unheard of in the modern times where most products are easily disposable. The first time Zippo placed an order for 500 Zippo lighters. Today Zippo has sold over 600 million lighters all around the world. Mr. Blaisdell would be astonished to see that millions of Zippo fans are collecting, buying, swapping and talking Zippo lighters every day. Zippo became so much more than a lighter and that is what we at MBMO try to bring to our customers.
